Woman brutally attacks her husband with knife over his alleged plan to marry second wife in Niger State

In a distressing incident from Kuta community within the Shiroro Local Government Area of Niger State, a woman named Halima Salisu reportedly assaulted her husband, Salisu Suleiman, with a knife. The attack was allegedly triggered by suspicions that her husband intended to marry another wife.

The event took place in the early hours of Saturday, November 1, 2025, around 2:30 a.m., when Salisu was asleep. During the assault, Halima inflicted a severe neck wound and caused damage to his left eye.

Following the attack, Salisu was immediately taken to the General Hospital in Kuta for emergency treatment before being transferred to IBB Specialist Hospital in Minna for specialized care.
