Nigerians are currently demanding justice following the tragic death of a young man identified as Peter Abu in Abuja, Oyogist reports.
Late Peter was allegedly murdered by police operatives, who picked him up while returning home to Eco estate from work.
According to a post shared by the deceased cousin, @ilemona on twitter, Peter’s corpse was recovered in Gwagwalada, Abuja.
Going further, @ilemona said his uncle, the father of late Peter served this nation up to the level of commander at the Nigerian navy.
He further wondered why extra-judicial killings keeps on repeating itself in the country.
See his tweets below;
@PoliceNG when I joined the #EndSARS protests I did so because it was the right thing to do. I also did so because I knew that if extrajudicial killings didn't stop you'll one day bring it to my doorstep, like you have before. Like you have now.
I will be writing a petition today. Cos there is no explanation why my cousin will be arrested while returning home to Aco Estate from work & will turn up dead in Gwagwalada – almost 30kms away.
My uncle served this nation rising up to the rank of Commander in the @NigerianNavy. This cannot be the way this country repays his legacy. It cannot be.
This cannot be what his mother lives with for the rest of her days.
