There was severe tension earlier today as Unidentified gunmen attacked Umuguma division Police Station in Owerri West Local Government Area headquarters of Imo State.
Oyogist gathered that the attack left two Police operatives dead.
One of the operatives who was identified as Ifeanyi, was said to have been a final year student of the Imo State University.
The Imo State Police Spokesperson, Michael Abattam while confirming the attack maintained that no life was lost and no firearm was carted away.
He said “yes, there was an incident, but our men repelled them, no life was lost and neither did we lose any firearm.
“They threw in dynamite which ignited the roof but our men engaged them. No life was lost and no arms were lost.
