Oyogist has learned that Warner Bros. recently announced the remake of highly anticipated Hollywood sequel, ‘I am Legend’.
The remake would feature legendary actors, Will Smith and Micheal B. Jordan, as it aims at becoming the first movie released by both producers.
Sensational Oscar winner, Akiva Goldsman, who originally adapted the 1954 Richard Matheson novel for the 2007 film, will also return to pen the script to the follow-up.
I Am Legend was initially directed by Francis Lawrence, where Smith played a virologist by the name of Rober Neville.
He was stranded in New York City as the sole survivor of a man-made plague that transformed humans into bloodthirsty mutants.
The film opened at the top of the box office raking in $77 million USD, later earning over $585 million USD globally.
