Oyogist has learned that a Ukrainian woman Identified as Olena Kurilo aged 52 has narrated how she narrowly escaped death shortly after Russian forces launched severe airstrikes’in Kharkiv.
Olena, who has become one of the faces of the conflict so far after an image of her bandaged and covered in blood was released has said that she is “lucky to be alive”.
” I never thought that this would truly happen in my lifetime”, she added.
The teacher said: “I will do everything for Ukraine, as much as I can, with as much energy as I have. “I will always only be on my motherland’s side.”
Ms Kurilo appeared on a number of front pages this morning, as the world wakes up to a second day of conflict in Ukraine.
In other news, US Defence Secretary, Ben Wallace suggested Vladimir Putin had made up his mind to attack Ukraine since last year.
He referred to a newspaper article he wrote in January arguing the Russian president was beyond persuasion. “Putin has been set on this for many, many months, certainly over a year,”Ben Wallace told reporters.
