Oyogist has learned that Nigerian sprinter, Blessing Okagbare has been handed a 10-year ban for doping violations.
Recall few months ago, the Athletics Integrity Unit charged the sprinter after she tested positive for human growth hormone and recombinant erythropoietin.
Days after, Okagbare was forced out of the Tokyo Olympics after result of the test was announced.
The AIU had said in a statement, “The athlete has been charged with the presence and use of a prohibited substance following of Human Growth Hormone in a sample collected out-of-competition on 19th July in Slovakia and reported to the AIU on 30th July.”
Earlier today, the commission issued her a 10 years ban from all athletic activities.
