Oyogist has learned that premier League gaints, liverpool have reportedly offered James Milner a one-year contract extension as Jurgen Klopp seeks to include the midfielder in next season’s plans.
The 36-year-old’s current contract with the Reds, which he signed in December 2019, was initially scheduled to run out at the end of this season.
However, the club’s manager, Jurgen Klopp insisted that Milner is one of his favourite players and thus should stay at the club for yet another season.
Beginning his career with boyhood club Leeds United aged just 16, Milner has played Premier League football in every season as a professional, with several appearance at Newcastle, Aston Villa, Manchester City and now Liverpool.
Originally signing from City on a free transfer in 2015, Milner has gone on to make 274 appearances for the Reds, scoring 26 goals and winning the Premier League, the Champions League, the UEFA Super Cup and the FIFA Club World Cup.
