Oyogist.com has learned that the Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde has received a Honourary award from the Nigerian institute of surveyors.
Taking to his official Twitter page to share the update, the Governor further professed his love for surveying as he revealed that was the reason he got his first degree in the profession.
The Governor wrote;
“The most sincere form of praise comes from one’s professional colleagues. My love for surveying is the reason I got my first degree in it.From Begema in Bayelsa to Monguno in Borno, surveying gave me the opportunity to traverse this country and learn a lot.
“Surveying is the hallmark of development and with humility, I accept the recognition as a Honorary Fellow by the Nigerian Institution of Surveyors. With all sense of responsibility, I will continue to uphold the ethics, integrity and well-being of the profession”. He said Further.
