Oyogist.com has gathered statistics of Governor Seyi Makinde economic performance in Oyo state.
Recall that Governor Seyi Makinde won the gubernatorial election in 2019, by winning massively in 28 local government out of the 33 local government in the state.
Since he resumed office, He has been making several policies that is centered around the people of the state, which has made people call him “The People’s Governor”.
Here are statistics of his economic performance in the state:
Governor Seyi Makinde has achieved an impressive reduction in Oyo’s external debt to -26% (the least by any state in Nigeria).
Also, he reduced external debt from $105million in 2018 to $83m in 2020.
He moved Oyo state from 13th to 6th on IGR table & executing massive infrastructures.
