If you’re an MTN user and have been having difficulties purchasing airtime through USSD or your bank’s app, an expert thinks there’s an explanation for it.

OYOGist.com has gathered that this issue is allegedly connected to a little turf war between banks who provide the USSD services that allow MTN to fund their customers’ line, according to a Twitter user’s explanation.

Hon. Isa Pantimi, the Minister for Communications also seem to have confirmed this in a tweet, where he explained that the CBN and the NCC are in discussions with both the banks and MTN to resolve the issue.
