America’s top fast food chain, Burger King, is consistently rumored to be coming to Nigeria, OYOgist.com reports.
The company currently has 7,257 locations in the United States with more branches of it franchise across the world, with the only African franchise in South Africa.
The company has declared its intentions of coming to Nigeria.
Financial Times shared a quote back in 2018 of the Burger King president, José Cil, who said;
“Nigeria is an amazing opportunity, we think east Africa as well”
Nigerians have reacted with what they expect after a recent tweet of news that Burger King will soon be in the country.
Many Nigerians are less optimistic with their comments thinking the economic situation in the country will ruin the franchise if it comes to Nigeria.
Some others wrote that the quality of service will reduce making the menu unoriginal and more suited to Nigerian consumers. A user joked that the menu will include jollof rice.
