Gory photos of the carnage left behind after unknown gunmen attacked some men of the security forces in Anambra State have left many baffled.
OYOGist.com came across images of corpses of police officers and prison warders who were killed by some unknown gunmen.
The prison warders were reportedly on their way transporting an inmate to court when the incident took place.
The incident was reported to have taken place at Anaocha and Oyi Local Government Areas. Their patrol vans were also set on fire while their weapons were taken away.
It is still unclear what the gunmen carrying out the killings are doing it for and whom they are affiliated with. See images of the scenes below. Warrning, the images are upsetting.
