According to report reaching oyogist.com, Governor Seyi Makinde has given assurance that his administration will develop the mining industry in the state.
The Governor disclosed this when the minister of State for Mines and Steel development, Dr Uchechukwu Sampson Ogah paid a courtesy visit to him.
On the verified twitter handle of the Governor,
He said: “This morning, we welcomed the Honourable Minister of State for Mines and Steel Development, Dr Uchechukwu Sampson Ogah and his entourage, who paid us a courtesy visit. Dr Ogah is in Ibadan to attend a conference organised by the Nigerian Mining and Geosciences Society.”
“I restated that our administration would continue to partner with the Federal Government to develop the mining industry in Oyo State. We already provided land for the gemstone market which will be built by the Federal Government in Ibadan.”
