According to report reaching oyogist.com, the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State has hailed members of Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) and loyalists of former Governor, Rasheed Ladoja for joining the platform.
APC Caretaker Chairman, Akin Oke, commended the new members in a statement on Thursday.
The party assured politicians from Ladoja’s camp and the ZLP that they would not regret their decision.
Oke blamed Governor Seyi Makinde for the “final collapse” of the coalition arrangement “upon which he got to power in 2019”.
“All the major coalition partners have deserted Makinde for his failure to honour agreements and inability to perform in office as a worthy successor to Sen. Abiola Ajimobi,” the party stated.
Oke said it was a necessary step to arrest the slide in participatory democracy and good governance being foisted on the people by the PDP administration.
The party expressed readiness to accommodate all new members and get them registered in the 4,778 polling units across Oyo.
