Oyogist.com has learnt that the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, has issued out 39 cheques worth N160m to families of policemen who died during the #ENDSARS protest last year.
Mohammed Adamu while issuing the cheques presentation at the Force Headquarters in Abuja, said the Nigerian Police will never forget the family of its fellow officers who have willingly laid down their lives to defend the country.
He further urged the recipients to use the money judiciously in making sure the welfare needs of the children and wives of the late officers are well met.“I would continue to prioritize safety and welfare and officers and pray God protects them and their families in the line of duty,” he said further.
