Oyogist.com has learnt that the US Senate Majority Leader, Mitch McConnell has accused Outgoing President, Donald Trump for allegedly “provoking” the violent mob that attacked the U.S. Capitol earlier this month in an attempt to overturn the results of the presidential election.
“The mob was fed lies,” McConnell said as he opened the Senate on Tuesday.
“They were provoked by the president and other powerful people, and they tried to use fear and violence to stop a specific proceeding of the first branch of the federal government, which they did not like.”
“We stood together and said an angry mob would not get veto power over the rule of law in our nation,” McConnell said on Tuesday. “We certified the people’s choice for the 46th president.”
