Marwa pledges to reposition NDLEA for better performance

According to report reaching oyogist.com, the new Chairman of National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Brig Gen. Mohammed Marwa (retd.), has promised to reposition the Drug agency for better and effective performance.

Brig Gen. Mohammed Marwa (retd.), made this known while speaking at the NDLEA headquarters in Abuja, noted that the repositioning of the agency would strictly be in line with the Presidential Advisory Committee for the Elimination of Drug Abuse so as to ensure the total eradication of drug abuse in the country.

Marwa noted that there are about 15 million drug users in the country and as a lead agency in the war against drugs in the country, its the primary responsibility of the agency to check and correct the wrongs.

In his words; “Together, by the grace of God, we will resuscitate and reposition NDLEA to full active life, to be effective, respected, and feared by concerned criminals.

“Nigeria is the only country we have, we cannot fold our arms. We can, will, and must eliminate the drug scourge.”
