The Board of First City Monument Bank, on Saturday, says it’s investigating its director , Mr Adam Nuru, over allegations of unethical conduct involving a former employee, Ms Moyo Thomas.
The bank made this known during a statement released on Saturday titled, ‘Official Statement -Media Stories Regarding Our Managing Director’.
Reports had gone viral on social media that the director had an affair with Ms Thomas and therefore the shock culminated within the death of her husband, the late Mr Thomas.
There have also been demand from the central bank of Nigeria to sack Mr Nuru over the allegations.
FCMB, however, said, “We are conscious of several stories circulating across several media platforms about our director Adam Nuru, a former employee Ms Moyo Thomas and her deceased husband, Mr Tunde Thomas.
“While this is often a private matter, the tragedy of the death of Mr Tunde Thomas and therefore the allegations of unethical conduct, require the Bank’s board to conduct a review of what transpired, any violations of our code of ethics and therefore the adequacy of those code of conduct ethics. this may be done immediately.
“We enjoin all our stakeholders in touch with us as we conduct this review and to please respect the varied families involved.”
