Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun presents 2021 budget to Assembly tagged ‘Budget of Recovery and Sustainability’

The Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, today present the state 2021 budget to the state House of Assembly.

The bill tagged: ‘Budget of Recovery and Sustainability’, will highlight the key sectors and budgetary allocations for rapid development of the state.

The Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Mr. Kunle Somorin, during a statement, said the presentation would afford the governor the chance to spotlight some major achievements of his government thus far , and the way it intended to chart a replacement course for the state within the coming year.

According to him, “Already, the government has made infrastructure, security, healthcare, education and therefore the economy, especially youth development and agriculture, its major pillars, and scored high in taming COVID-19 in 2020.”

He quoted the governor as saying that his administration would remain committed to encouraging inclusiveness within the development of the state.

“To this end, we shall not waiver in allowing participation of the private sector in our development agenda.

“Everybody may be a stakeholder-private individuals also as corporate bodies and non secular organisations, and that they will determine the direction of the infrastructural and economic process of the state collectively.

“We wish to assure all public-spirited persons, politicians and business organisations that have an interest in supporting us to try to to so.

“They should channel their goodwill to appropriate government agencies for correct coordination so as to make sure rapid and even development of all parts of the state, both in terms of physical and human development.

“We welcome the private sector and individuals curious about siting projects or contribute to the rehabilitation, reconstruction or construction of infrastructural facilities to get clearance from the govt to make sure there’s no duplication of efforts with regards to their projects and programmes,” the governor stated.
