Breaking: Saudi Arabia Officially Bans Underage Marriages

According to report reaching oyogist.com, the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Justice, has reportedly placed a ban on underage marriage of persons under the age of 18.

This information was made public following a circular directive issued by the Saudi Arabian Minister of Justice and Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council, Sheikh Walid Al-Samaani, to all courts in the Kingdom.

According to previous researches, child marriages is a common practice in Saudi Arabia with one (1) in seven (7) girls marrying before the maturity age of 18. But following the recent developments in the Kingdom, the Minister of Justice, Sheikh Walid Al-Samaani, is making a huge effort in changing and amending the old traditional system to a generally accepted system.
