According to reports reaching Oyogist.com, the Academic Staff Union of University (ASUU) on Wednesday has “conditionally” suspended its 10 months strike that commenced since March 2020.
ASUU National President, Biodun Ogunyemi made the suspension known during a briefing of the union in Abuja, as he further explained that the development followed consultations with its National Executive Council (NEC).
Recall that the Nigerian Government on Monday had ordered the closure of schools in the country till 18th of January, 2021, in order to tackle the incessant increase in the number of covid-19 cases across the country.
