According to report reaching oyogist.com, the Federal Road Safety Corps, Zone 12, Assistant Corp Marshal, Rotimi Adeleye, has reportedly issued a stern warning to members of the FRSC against extorting money from motorists.
Adeleye made this known while addressing newsmen at the FRSC Zonal Headquarters which comprises of Bauchi, Yobe and Borno States.
He noted that the FRSC had partnered with the Independent Corrupt Practices and other Related Offences Commission along with other enforcement departments so as to help fish out the bad eggs among the corps.
According to a statement by him, he stated; “It is not only during this period alone; all along in the corps, there has been zero tolerance for corruption.
“From the national level of the corps, there is an understanding among the ICPC, the DSS and the corps. All the FRSC workers are consciously aware of fact that any operative that falls into the hands of the DSS and the ICPC, is on his own.”
