According to report reaching oyogist.com, the former Deputy Governor of Kwara state, Chief Simon Sayomi, has reportedly died in his hometown, Igosun, Oyun LGA, after a brief illness.
His death was confirmed by his son Ola Saying, during an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), on Thursday in Ilorin.
Acccording to a statement made by his son, he stated; “He died on Wednesday night between 9:30 pm and 10:pm. He was born in Oct. 10, 1925.”
“We will miss him because he was a hero to us in everything.”
Chief Simon Sayomi, was the Deputy Governor of Kwara state from 1999 to 2003 under the Governor then, late Muhammed Lawal.
