According to report reaching oyogist.com, Ghanian opposition leader and Presidential candidate, John Mahama, has reportedly rejected the recently concluded Ghana Presidential and Parliamentary election results in what he describes as being ‘fraudulent’.
The recently concluded Ghanian election which gave President Nana Akufo-Addo a re-election as president, ended with a total 51.59 percent to Mahama’s 47.36 vote percent including Nana’s New Patriotic Party 137 parliamentary seats, to Mahama’s National Democratic Congress 136 parliamentary seats.
Reacting to the election results, opposition leader and Presidential candidate, John Mahama, challenged the results claiming it was highly fraudulent as he claimed he won the election.
“I stand before you tonight unwilling to accept the fictionalised results of a flawed election.”
Mahama has now promised to take legal steps against the electoral results claiming the results upturned justice. “We will take all legitimate steps to reverse this tragedy of justice.”
