According to report reaching oyogist.com, Egypt has reportedly received it first shipment of the Chinese manufactured Sinopharm Covid-19 vaccine from the UAE on Thursday.
The vaccine which was developed by Chinese pharmaceutical company, Sinopharm, arrived at the Cairo International Airport on Thursday through the UAE. The vaccine is also one of the first batches of the coronavirus vaccine to be developed.
A statement issued by the Egyptian Minister for Health, Hala Zayed, noted that the vaccine would be made available to all Egyptian citizens with the health workers and the renal failure patients taking the first jab of the vaccine.
It was learnt that the Covid-19 vaccine shipment was a gift offer to Egypt by the United Arab Emirates (UAE). It was also learnt that the first shipment of contains 50,000 doses of the Sinopharm Covid-19 vaccine.
