According to report reaching oyogist.com, the Nigerian Ambassador to the United States, Sylvanus Adiewere Nsofor, has reportedly died at the age of 85.
Mr. Sylvanus .A. Nsofor, died at the Maryland hospital in Washington DC on Thursday after suffering from a brief illness.
Mr. Nsofor is a retired Nigerian Chief Justice of the Court of Appeal, who assumed office as the Nigerian Ambassador to the United States in 2017 after succeeding Prof. Adebowale Adefuye, who also died towards the end of his Ambassadorial tenure.
Mr. Nsofor is a graduate of the now-defunct Holborn College of Law, London, where he graduated in 1962. Also, Mr. Nsofor bagged an LLM from the London School of Economics in 1964.
