According to reports reaching Oyogist.com, Nigerian Female Artist, Tiwa Savage, has got her music recognised by the New York Times as the platform listed her ‘Koroba’ song among the Best Songs of 2020.
The song, ‘Koroba’ takes the number 8 position on the list.
The New York Times denoted Tiwa savage as “a crisp Afrobeats groove with hints of Middle Eastern modes, besieged by sudden salvos of percussion”.
Taking to Instagram to acknowledge the honour, Tiwa Savage wrote;
“Another 1. #Koroba no8 on @nytimes best songs of 2020 Thank you Jon ❤ and to everyone streaming, doing dance videos, creating great content to my music.
“Love you all I wanna drop my next project but I’m not sure you guys have finished memorizing every single lyric to #Celia yet ” Y’all need to sing along with me when I go on this tour next year by God’s grace 🙏🏾” she wrote.
