According to report reaching oyogist.com, President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday snubbed the invitation of the House of Representatives.
Recall that oyogist.com had earlier reported that Buhari’s aide, Lauretta Onochie had confirmed that Buhari will today, Thursday, address a joint session of the National Assembly
The Attorney General of the Federation, AGF, Abubakar Malami had faulted the invitation, saying the lawmakers had no powers to invite the president.
However, Buhari was absent as the House of Representatives commenced plenary, on Thursday.
A member from Rivers State, Solomon Bob, in a point of order, urged Speaker Femi Gbajabiamila to update the House on the subject matter.
Responding, Gbajabiamila said the House would wait for official communication from the President.
