According to reports reacjing oyogist.com, The Orphanage coalition of Nigeria has instructed all visitors to orphanage homes across the country, to stop taking pictures with children at any time during their visit, or face a fine.
The union made this known in their recent newsletter sent to orphanage children’s homes across the country.
It said the real reason for the ban is to protect the children from “embarrassment and stigmatization” as it revealed that majority of these visitors shares photos of these children online.
It warned that any orphanage home that defaults, and allows visitors to take photos with the kids would pay a fine of 50,000 Naira.
