The Rivers state Governor, Nyesom Wike has described the Benue state Governor, Samuel Ortom, as a good and charismatic leader who truly cares for his people, oyogist.com reports.
Wike said this during the commissioning of the Customary Court George Akume road in Makurdi. He noted that the newly constructed road is an important project which was carried out in respect of the Benue people.
According to the statement made by Governor Wike, he stated; “On behalf of the people and Government of Rivers State, we want to appreciate my dear brother Governor Ortom for given us the honour to be part of this occasion of commissioning a very important road that the people of this area have for long yearned for its construction.”
Governor Wike said that Gov. Ortom was one of those Governors he can at any day, any time, any second any minute, do anything for due to the fact that he’s a man of distinguished character.
Speaking at the event, Governor Ortom thanked his Rivers state counterpart, Governor Nyesom Wike, for honouring his invitation while stating that the stress experienced during raining season on the road had become a thing of the past.
