On January 27, 2020, Justice Justice Yusuf Halilu of the Abuja Federal High Court delivered a death penalty judgment on Mrs. Maryam Sanda on the basis of circumstantial evidence which proved that Mrs. Maryam fatally and brutally stabbed her husband to death.
Following the Federal High Court judgment, Mrs. Maryam Sanda, who is a mother of two (2) kids, filed for a 20 ground appeal notice, prayed to the court for an order to discharge, and acquit her of her crimes.
