According to report reaching oyogist.com, a Bauchi State High Court has ordered the remand of the former Bauchi state Director General of Bauchi Geographic and Information System (BAGIES), Baba Abubakar Suleiman along with one Mr. Yusuf Abubakar in a Nigeria Correctional facility.
OYOGist.com learned that Mr. Abubakar and Mr. Yusuf were arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) for alleged fraud and the obtainment of about N15.5 million naira under false pretence.
The two suspects were arraigned on Tuesday before Justice Abubakar Sambo of the Bauchi State High Court 3, following a seven count charges leveled against the accused by the EFCC. The EFCC told the Justice Sambo led Court that the seven count charges leveled against the two suspects were contrary to sections 362, 363, 366 and 368 of the Nigerian penal code.
