Oyo state government commissions 100kW solar hybrid mini-grid project at Itesiwaju Local government

According to report reaching oyogist.com, Oyo state government has commissioned a 100kW solar hybrid mini-grid project at Budo-Are community in itesiwaju Local government in Oyo state.

Governor Seyi Makinde was represented by the commissioner of Energy and Mineral resources, Honorable. Temilolu Ashamu at the commissioning of the project.

The commissioner made this knownn via his Twitter handle;

He wrote: “I had the honour to represent His Excellency Seyi Makinde at the commissioning of a 100kW solar hybrid mini-grid project at Budo-Are community, Itwesiwaju Local Government Area, Oyo State, facilitated under the Rural Electrification Fund.”

“Aside from the regulatory support Oyo State is already providing the private sector to execute such projects, His Excellency has approved for @memr_oyo to execute similar mini-grids in the 2021. This is the new face of rural electrification in Oyo state”
