According to reports reaching Oyogist.com, the Academic Staff Union of Universities has finally reached an agreement with the Federal Government hence would call off its eight-month strike.
During the meeting held earlier today, the Union reached a consensus with the government, represented by the Minister of Labour and Employment, Dr Chris Ngige.
The Federal government agreed that it would increase the total payment to the union to N70 billion.
All this is coming through just one week after the Federal Government accepted ASUU’s exemption Demand from the Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information System, IPPS, oyogist.com further learnt.
