According to report reaching oyogist.com, the senator representing Oyo state Central Senatorial District at the National Assembly, Sen. Teslim Folarin has reportedly stated that he won’t be pressing charges against the hoodlums arrested in connection with the stolen empowerment equipments from his Ibadan residence.
Senator stated that the #Endsars protest effect isn’t an hindrance to the planned December palliative package he has for his constituency. He said that efforts are currently being made to ensure the even distribution of empowerment equipments in his constituency.
The lawmaker stated stated; “we are working hard to ensure that we distribute empowerment materials as planned.”
“We are not interested in arresting anybody. The country is very difficult. There were two categories of people that came; first, the people that masterminded it and the passersby who saw it and resorted to looting.”
“We are not trying to justify looting but let’s just hope they use it well. We are not pressing charges against those that looted the empowerment materials in my residence,” Senator Teslim stated.
