According to report reaching oyogist.com, the Christian Association Of Nigeria (CAN) President, Reverend Samson Ayokunle, has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to invite the Nigerian church leaders on how to lift the country from its current economic crisis (Recession).
The CAN President also called on a constitutional reform in the country stating that the reform would go a long way in lifting the country out of recession.
Reverend Ayokunle noted that the Nigerian government have neglected the church leaders in the process of governance which he termed as a great challenge for the country at large.
“Let the government set up an expansive and expanded economic team and have a robust conversation with church leaders so that we can be able to lift the country out of recession quickly. The government should not overlook what the church leaders can do.”
“It is our constitution that should address the issue of equity we should have a homegrown democracy. In such a way that everybody will be accommodated. In doing this we should look into our constitution.”
“Our constitution has outlived its usefulness and only a fool will not call for constitution reform, we need to embrace restructuring,” Reverend Ayokunle stated.
