OYOGist.com has learned that the Minister of Youths and Sport, Sunday Dare has promised a performance review of the Super Eagles Head Coach, Gernot Rohr including some of the NFF Executives.
The minister stated this while apologizing to Nigerian over the tragic loss to Sierra Leone during the AFCON qualifier match.
“We all expected better outcome (against Sierra Leone). In every sports like football there are predictable outcome. We believe in the skills talent of the Eagles. The country also expects that when we hire a technical adviser we expect good returns from him.”
“We are going to sit and have a review of what has happened. We review the entire team, look at the players if they qualify to play for the Eagles.”
“We will also review the technical adviser and the entire people involved with football administration and the Eagles.”
The minister promised to trace the foundation of the mistake which led to the defeat of the Super Eagles in the hands of the Sierra Leone stars. The minister also used the medium to appeal to Nigerians stating that the Ministry of Youths and Sports was on top of the issue.
