The US President-elect is considering including former Federal Reserve Chairperson, Janet Yellen as his Treasury secretary, information reaching OYOGist.com affirms.
According to reports in Bloomberg, accessed by OYOGist.com, the former Federal Reserve Chair has declined “at least one upcoming” public speaking engagement because she is now being considered for the role of Treasury Secretary.
Sources have said that President-elect Joe Biden, who has promised to pick a diverse cabinet, may choose the first Black or female Treasury secretary in history.
Another candidate his team is also considering is Fed Governor Leak Brainard and former Fed Vice Chair Roger Ferguson.
