Manchester United player, Paul Pogba has debunked the rumors that he has quit playing for the French National over Islamist comments made by President Macron, OYOGist.com reports.
Earlier today, Paul Pogba began trending after a report by The Sun claiming he had quit the national French football team over comments made by the President of France, Emmanuel Macron.
The story was also published by several major news outlets, including OYOGist.com, further making the false story go viral.
Hours later, the footballer came on Twitter to deny the report by calling The Sun fake news.
The football star simple share an image of the article on the popular UK newspaper with an image that read “UNACCEPTABLE. FAKE NEWS”.
