OYOGist.com has learned that the Lego state Governor, Babajide Sanwolu has reportedly inaugurated a 8 man judicial panel of Inquiry Restitution to investigate the complaints of Police brutality in the state.
The Governor disclosed that the panel will be joined by two youth representatives and a member of the Human Rights Commission.
Governor Sanwolu also stated that the trial of erring policemen in the state had begun. The governor said that the state government have already started engaging the protesters along with the relevant stakeholders in the state.
The governor urged the all Lagosians that have been brutalized by the defunct SARS to bring their complaints before the constituted panel as the governor appeals to all Lagosians to be patient with the Lagos State government as he claims the state government is trying its possible best to meet their needs.
Gov. Sanwo-Olu also begged the protesting youths to suspend their protest and create an atmosphere for resolution of all pending demands.
