Manchester United are continuing to invest in the future after securing a £27million deal to sign Atalanta teenager Amad Traoré.
The 18-year-old winger will join the club at the start of 2021 when his work permit is cleared, according to Fabrizio Romano.
Romano also believes United are signing a gem.
Writing on Instagram, he posted: “[Atalanta forward] Papu Gomez told about him: ‘He’s a future star, trust me. During our training sessions he seems like Messi! You can’t stop him, he’s unbelievable, our centre backs have serious problems when Traoré is on the pitch… he’s fantastic!’”
Traoré, who was born in the Ivory Coast but moved to Italy at a young age, has made just three Serie A appearances since graduating from the Atalanta academy.
Traoré was the first player born in 2002 to score in the Italian top flight when he scored seven minutes into his debut in 2019.
