Manchester United fans may finally have something to smile about as the club have reportedly agreed a deal with one of the best strikers in the World of Football in Edinson Cavani, oyogist.com reports.
According to latest reports, Manchester United have agreed a two-year contract with the former Paris Saint Germain striker in a free transfer with him set to travel to Manchester tomorrow to undergo medical examination.
Cavani, 33 has been a huge hit in his career with him being a deadly finisher. During his time with the French giants, Cavani chipped in 200 goals in 301 appearances as well as scoring 50 goals for his National team (Uruguay).
Over the past few months, Manchester United have been on the lookout for a new striker with Anthony Martial blowing hot and cold and January signing Odion Ighalo failing to pick the form since June.
Hence, United manager Ole Gunnar Solksjaer see Edinson Cavani as the perfect striker to help get the best out of his current forwards. With his experience, the 33 year old will no doubt be a huge upgrade to the United squad.
