Earlier in the transfer window, Manchester United were expected to see the departure of Juan Mata.
Manchester United were never thinking about offloading Spanish playmaker Juan Mata.
This comes after club manager Ole Gunnar Solksjaer’s comments in the press conference after United’s 3-0 victory over Brighton in the Carabao cup.
This is what the Norwegian boss had to say: “He created more or less every moment in this game that was of the highest quality.”
“He is a very valuable member of the squad and a top professional.”
“He is an example for everyone to look at, how you conduct yourself and how you perform when you get the chance.”
When asked about rumours linking Mata to the exit door, Solskjaer added:
“We have not discussed that one at all. You can see the quality he brings and the composure.”
This directly refutes all rumours surrounding the Spaniard’s departure.
Juan Mata was the chief architect of United’s win over Brighton, pulling the strings from the wing. Mata scored once and assisted another goal at the Amex Stadium.
Mata has two goals from two appearances this season. He’s one of the most unique players United have and ever had.
With a load of deadwood still present at the club, United have gotten rid of Alexis Sanchez and Andreas Pereira.
Juan Mata joined Man United from English rivals Chelsea in a deal worth £37.1 million
