According to report reaching OYOGist.com, Chelsea Legend, Didier Drogba, have been announced as the winner of the 2020 UEFA President’s Award. This information was officially disclosed to the public on the verified twitter page of UEFA.
The UEFA President’s Award is an annual award presented to a football personality who have played a role in the advancement of football development and success. Didier Drogba becomes the first African to win this prestigious award which was introduced in 1998.
Some notable previous winners of the UEFA President’s Award includes the likes of Eric Cantona, David Beckham, Francesco Totti, Josef Masoput, Johan Cruyff, Bobby Robson, Paolo Maldini, Frank Rijkaard. The UEFA President’s Award was not given in 1999, 2015 and 2016 as well.
