Elected governors on the foundation of the All Progressives Congress, on Sunday, sympathized with the government and individuals of Borno State, over the assault on the guard of the governor, Babagana Zulum, which prompted the passings of security faculty and other honest residents.
They asked the Federal Government to offer extra help for security forces attempting to end the Boko Haram rebellion.
This was contained in an announcement named “Assault on Governor Zulum’s Convoy: PGF Commiserate with the People and Government of Borno State,” which was marked by the Chairman of the PGF, Abubakar Bagudu.
The governors communicated their sympathies to the families of the individuals who lost their lives in the grievous assault on governor Zulum’s guard on Saturday, September 26, 2020 along Maiduguri/Baga Road of Borno State.
The announcement read partially “As Progressive Governors, we are disheartened by this devious assault, which has brought about the disastrous demise of valuable existences of security work force and guiltless residents.
“We join our brother, Governor Zulum, our pioneers in Borno State and all Nigerians to appeal to God for the rest of the spirits of every one of the individuals who lost their lives. In this excruciating period,
Nigerians ought to be reinforced by the assurance of Governor Zulum to assist the peacebuilding cycle in Borno State and to be sure the entire of North-East.
“All Nigerians should ascend on the side of the commendable activities of Borno State Government to restore residents in the State back to ordinary life. We should ascend on the side of the individuals and legislature of Borno State to end all exercises of Boko Haram agitators, which advance exchange and assessment organization that finance their appalling exercises.
