OYOGist.com has learned that days after the Gubernatorial election in Edo state, the APC candidate Pastor Ize-Iyamu has reportedly declared his readiness to work with Governor Obaseki. He also begged the Governor to return to APC as he is considered and known as a leader.
Governor Obaseki left APC after he was screened out of the gubernatorial slot by the APC screening committee. Well the Incumbent Governor, Obaseki then joined the Peoples Democratic Party PDP at dying time and he likely to secure the party’s ticket definitely he won the election by defeating Pastor Ize-Iyamu for the second time.
Pastor Ize-Iyamu speaking about his next plan, he said, “We are going to talk to everybody. We are going to bring everybody back. I want to salute my brother, the governor. I will like to appeal to him to return to the party. In every family, we have a disagreement”.
He continued, “Let it not be said that it was this disagreement that pushed him out. I made that mistake before and I have come to realise that it was a grievous error and I will not want him as a senior brother to make the same mistake”.
He also said, “i will like to appeal to him to set aside his anger and come back. In APC, he is recognised as a leader and it would be difficult for him to be recognised as a leader in the new party he is going to”.
He concluded saying, Certainly, we are ready to work with him and all well-meaning Edo people. We believe it is time to bring peace back to Edo state.”
Well Ize-Iyamu appealed to Obaseki to leave the PDP and return to the APC where he is regarded as leader.
