OYOGist.com has learned that the members of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the House of Representatives led by the Minority leader, Kingsley Chinda, visited former President Goodluck Jonathan at his office in Otuoke, Bayelsa State on Thursday afternoon.
The former president disclosed this on his Twitter handle on Thursday evening. Goodluck Jonathan said he was happy to receive the audience of the legislators, he charged them to continue to provide quality representation to the People’s Democratic Party and the country.
“This afternoon, I had an audience with members of the @OfficialPDPNig Caucus in the House of Representatives, led by their leader Honourable Kingsley Chinda, who paid me a courtesy call in my office.” Jonathan posted on his Twitter handle.
Goodluck Jonathan ruled Nigeria between 2010 and 2015 under the platform of the People’s Democratic Party. He was ousted by President Muhammad Buhari in 2015. Since he left office, the former president has been less associated with the party.
Jonathan is very close to President Buhari and the All Progressives Congress lately. It was also alleged that he supported APC candidate, David Lyon, in Bayelsa State Governorship Election last year.
