Recall that the Supreme Court about three days ago, issued notices scheduling the hearing of three appeals challenging the election of Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State for Tuesday, oyogist.com reports.
According to punchng, it was revealed that two of the three appeals coming up for hearing were filed by the Peoples Democratic Party and the Socialist Democratic Party along with their respective candidates to challenge Bello’s victory at the November 16, 2019 poll.
The three appeals that came up for hearing at the Supreme Court on Tuesday are against the July 4, 2020 judgments of the Abuja Division of the Court of Appeal which affirmed the victory of Bello in the November 16, 2019 governorship election in the state.
Consequently, at the hearing today, after receiving addresses from the plantiffs, the Judge revealed that, judgment will be delivered on the 31st of August, 2020.
This development was made known by the veteran Journalist, Babajide Otitoju, who is privy to information on the court processes, in a post via his Facebook page on Tuesday morning.
