OYOGist.com has learned that over the weekend a couple of IPOB members were gunned down by men of the Nigerian Police at Emene Enugu state where they were allegedly having a meeting. The needless loss of life has brought a lot of rage and justified anger among concerned Nigerians who claim that the killing of defenseless Nigerians where totally unnecessary and demands to be addressed by the Nigerian authorities.
The leader of The Ohaneze Ndigbo Chief Nnia Nwodo has dropped his official response to the unfortunate weekend event that took place in Enugu and the response was nothing short of underwhelming in our opinion.
The response was the typical Nigerian politician response to every issue in Nigeria. Read the official comment below.
“Information reaching us says about 21 peaceful Ipob members were killed by security operatives yesterday in enugu.
This is callous ,anti democratic and i condemn it strongly. Govt must do better in handling issues related to unarmed civillians. killing for fun must end.”
