The recent diplomatic move by United Arab Emirate to normalize relationship with the State of Israel angered Arab/Muslims countries especially Israel arch-enemy the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The Islamic Republic of Iran is an arch-enemy of the State of Israel and it major foreign policy is always against the State of Israel.
Tension is high between the United Arab Emirate and Islamic Republic of Iran as the two oil rich countries face each other after the landmark normalization between the United Arab Emirate and State of Israel.
This Monday an Emirati ship was seized by the Islamic Republic of Iran border guards and it crew was detained due to illegal traffic in Iranian water. This happened the same day United Arab Emirate killed two Iranian fishermen and seized a boat.
The United Arab Emirate has expressed it deepest regret as regards the situation surrounding the death of the two Iranian fishermen and the United Arab Emirate is ready to pay compensation.
The two countries are not on a good terms since the historic deal between the State of Israel and the United Arab Emirate.
The Iranian President Hassan Rouhani released a statement immediately after the agreement that the United Arab Emirate made huge mistake in reaching a deal to establish diplomatic relationship with the State of Israel and called it betrayal of the Palestine. He further said that the United Arab Emirate better need to be mindful as they have committed a huge mistake, a treacherous act.
